ABOUT ME

My professional experience includes over 14 years of working with a diverse range of clients and presenting issues. I have worked in community mental health, outpatient, substance abuse and residential settings. My approach is one that offers warmth and empathy while helping clients explore the nature of their problems and discover avenues for positive change. I incorporate a variety of approaches in my work including relational psychodynamic theory, Cognitive-behavioral therapy, family systems theory, Sensorimotor psychotherapy/mind-body approaches, and mindfulness practices. I completed the Level 1 & Level 2 training programs in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (S.P.) in Chicago between 2014 and 2018.
My specialty areas include: anxiety and stress management, depression and other mood disorders, relationship issues, LGBT issues, healing from trauma and loss & navigating life transitions.
In addition to seeing clients in my private practice, I have also taught online courses for the last 7 years as an Adjunct Professor for Ashford University in both Health & Human Services and Psychology.
When not working, I enjoy walking in nature, reading, movies, music and travelling around the world.
